Job Description

AECOM is seeking a Traffic Intern to be based in Murray, Utah .

This position is expected to begin in May 2026.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

• Internships are designed to introduce and build essential, hands-on skills that differ from those attained in the academic arena and help to enhance the transition from student to professional.

• Interns are assigned duties that will provide a broad, well-rounded leaning experience within transportation engineering.

• Interns in traffic operations will perform VISSIM and Synchro traffic modeling and be trained in operational analysis.

• Projects may require a crash history analysis using safety performance functions and crash modification factors, using methods like the Highway Safety Manual.

• Interns interested in transportation design will utilized MicroStation and Civil 3D AutoCAD for design of roadways, trails, or light rail projects.
