Our Transportation Team is seeking an experienced CADD Design Technician in St. Louis, Missouri. The final candidate will have a stellar track record in bridge and structural projects, with a strong work ethic and a collaborative mindset. In this role you will apply more advanced CAD techniques and develop difficult complex structural and bridge layouts and design drawings utilizing either 2D or 3D CAD software to meet company and industry standards and codes. You may also serve as a Lead Designer on small to medium-sized projects. The final candidate will be located in or near St. Louis, Missouri. In this role you’ll be responsible for: • Utilizes a CAD workstation to prepare difficult and complex layout and design drawings utilizing theoretical and practical design knowledge. • Performs complex drafting tasks efficiently and accurately both independently and as part of a team. • Interprets and ensures conformance to applicable standards and codes, as well as company policies and procedures. • Understands and utilizes more advanced software to complete assignments. • Works closely with Engineers and other disciplines to ensure coordinated designs. • Meets layout requirements and develops alternate design layouts as required. • Prepares reinforcing details, bar schedules, and bill of materials. • May assist in inspections of existing bridges and other structures under construction. • Reviews supplier data and supplier drawings, as required. • Develops and reviews orthographic (2D) and/or isometric (3D) drawings. • Performs checking procedures as appropriate to the discipline and assigned by immediate supervisor. • Provides input and technical guidance for mentoring lower-level Designers working on the same and other projects. • Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
